Glued-down carpet, standard on most bass boats, is better covered than torn out. Snap-in carpet is straightforward — we unsnap the panels and unscrew the snaps from the fiberglass. Then we template your deck with photogrammetry and install a custom-cut GatorStep kit that covers right where the snaps were.
On bass boats, glued-down carpet is part of how the boat is built — it insulates the metal compartment lids. Tearing it out means hours of glue cleanup and a real risk of damaging the boat. Instead, we template and install GatorStep directly on top of the carpet: old, stained carpet ends up looking like a new boat again, with an OEM, factory-style finish and none of the teardown labor.
